Those who can really afford, just can’t help but have more than one of its kind in their garage. Those who can’t, are doing with posters of breath-taking models all over their wall.
Yes, we’re talking about Jaguar F-type!
Classic interiors, sleek curves and powerful engine; Jaguar F-type has been a living dream since its inception. A car that goes straight to your heart at first glance only.
Time and time again Jaguar has presented car fanatics with archetypal models. And continuing the same tradition, at the start of 2016, the celebrated brand announced some serious promises to enthusiasts with the F-Types.
Let’s take a look at changes you can encounter in the 2016 F-Types that make the modern sports car even more fun to drive.
Supercharged V-8 Model
Earlier, to have the most powerful engine in the F-Type stable, one had to go for the coupe. However, the brand has replaced its V-8 S convertible model with R AWD that boasts a 5.0-liter V-8 engine which generates 550 horsepower and 502 lb-ft of torque.
According To Jaguar, F-types with bulky 5.0-liter supercharged V-8 needed four driven wheels to control the immense power. Thus, the brand now offers an all-wheel drive system on all eight-cylinder F-types whether coupes or convertibles. What’s more, the all-wheel drive is also an option on the 380-hp supercharged V-6 S models of the F-type.
Supercharged V-6 Power
While Jaguar has made significant changes to its drivetrain options, the F-types still deliver V-6 power. You can get the base model with 340 horsepower and 332 lb-ft of torque supercharged V-6. Additionally, there are S models that offer 380 horsepower and 339 lb-ft of torque along with an option of all-wheel drive system.
Not to forget, a manual transmission, which has long been demanded by enthusiasts, now features in the 2016 F-types adding more value to the V6 and V6 S models.
Starting off with a convertible model followed by a sophisticated coupe, Jaguar F-Type family has been growing incredibly while living up to their marque standards and sticking to their success formula.
The 2016 F-types only add to the appeal of the existing modern Jaguar sports cars.
